Dust to Dust : Walnut Creek Grey + Bastrop Gold on Deckled Edge Paper

$500.00

This piece was painted used two pigments I collected, processed and turned into watercolor right here in central Texas.

Wendell Berry once wrote, “The soil is the great connector of lives, the source and destination of all. It is the healer and restorer and resurrector, by which disease passes into health, age into youth, death into life. Without proper care for it we can have no community, because without proper care for it we can have no life.” Decades later, these words hold even greater urgency. As conversations around land stewardship, sustainability, and ecological responsibility grow, so too must our understanding of the land as more than a resource—it is our home, our history, and our future.

I aim to connect more deeply with the land both througevery aspect of my art making, and‍ ‍I want to bring more intimacy with the land into your life and your home as well.

This piece is 22” x 30” on archival Fabriano paper with deckled edges. It frames beautifully. Although I do not have an image of this piece framed, I will include an image of a similar piece framed in the images so you can envision what that might look like. It is framed in a west elm frame that is fairly affordable (given how much framing can cost). I am happy to help you find framing at any price point.
