Heidi Lowell lives in Austin, Texas with her husband, daughter and pug Norman. She creates colorful watercolor mosaics that pay homage to the the natural world as well as the interior landscapes of the human heart.

Heidi grew up in the mountains of Colorado. Her most formative experiences were camping, hiking and going on Volksmarches with her family and friends in National Parks and along the Appalachian Trail and Pacific Crest Trail. Her favorite hikes have been the Narrows in Zion National Park and Sulphur Mountain in Banff National Park.

She strongly believes that art and nature are required in daily dosages to nurture the heart.
