This piece was painted in response to a theme. Neil-Cochran House Museum has an exhibit this spring entitled “Hope for the Spring.” This year’s theme is water. I immediately thought of the body of water that Austinites flock to on sunny days, Ladybird Lake. We protect the things we love, and Lady Bird Lake is a place that Austinite’s love.

This piece will be on display at the Museum until the end of April. If you purchase it, it will be available for pick up after the exhibition.

A portion of this piece is painted with locally sourced soils and plant pigments. It is sealed with wax. It is 8” x 8” x 1.5” and comes to you signed and ready to hang.
